Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this bag for a while now, this RemakePRADA Small Prada Galleria Saffiano Special Edition Bag. It’s a real beauty, and I thought, why not try to remake my own version? So I did, and let me tell you, it was quite the adventure.
First off, I gathered all my materials. You know, the leather, the tools, all that jazz. I found some pretty decent Saffiano leather, not the exact same as the original, but hey, close enough. Then, I started working on the pattern. Now, this was tricky. I took apart a few of my old bags to get an idea of the construction, and I drew up my own pattern based on the pictures I saw online.
- Cut the leather
- Sewed the pieces together
- Added the hardware
Next up, I cut out the leather pieces. Let me tell you, cutting leather is no joke. You gotta have a steady hand, or else you’ll end up with jagged edges, and nobody wants that. After what felt like hours, I finally had all my pieces ready.
Then came the sewing. Oh boy, the sewing. I’m not gonna lie, I messed up a few times. My sewing machine was acting up, the thread kept breaking, it was a mess. But I pushed through, and eventually, I managed to sew all the pieces together. It wasn’t perfect, mind you, but it was starting to look like a bag!
The final step was adding the hardware. I found some similar-looking buckles and zippers online, and I attached them to the bag. This was probably the easiest part of the whole process, thank goodness.
The Result
And there you have it, my very own RemakePRADA Galleria Saffiano Leather Mini-Bag! It’s not an exact replica, but I’m pretty darn proud of it. I mean, I made this with my own two hands! It’s got that same classy vibe as the original, and it’s the perfect size for carrying my essentials. Plus, I saved a ton of money by making it myself.
So, if you’re thinking about getting one of these bags, why not try making your own? It’s a fun challenge, and you’ll end up with a unique piece that you can be proud of. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. After all, that’s how we learn, right?
This whole project, it really showed me that you can do anything if you are deterimined. I started with an idea, and ended up with a bag I can actually use. Feels pretty good, not gonna lie. I might even try to remake another bag sometime soon. Or, you know, maybe I’ll just take a break and enjoy this one for a while. It was a lot of work, after all.
So this is it! Hope you all enjoy my remaking experience of this beautiful bag. I will keep trying different things, and sharing with you guys in the future! Stay tuned!
